In the scope of fulfilling its mission statement, AUT invited Minister Kamal Shehadi to present the plan and initiatives of his ministry to an audience that included Members of Parliament , school officials, city mayors, IT companies CEOs and students so the bridging between the ministry and society stakeholders is done.
The debate allowed the audience to understand better where Lebanon is heading in terms of AI use in diverse sectors and what obstacles must be removed at many levels.
AUT pledged to actively help spread training to municipal staff and high school students to comply with the ministry policy and President Chafic Mokbel signed an MOU with Shehadi. The training had already started and will continue at a higher intensity in all three areas where AUT campuses are located: Jbeil, Koura and Akkar.
A cocktail reception ended the event.
