In perpetuation of a tradition started in 2012, AUT celebrated World Water Day in March 20.
Collaboration with Le Club des Sciences have the audience the chance to get the latest data on the effects of climate change on rainfall and snowfall with the resulting consequences on agriculture.
The effects on tourism and natural reserves were also discussed by Dr Fadi Karam, Dr Jean Stephan and Imad Farhat in addition to Dr Georges Rammouz who tackled the health issues resulting from climate change.
The Q and A sequence addressed solutions to the various problems addressing municipalities and tourism operators as well as agricultural associations.
The tradition of celebrating World Water Day is related to the fact that Aut offers a unique BS program in Water Resources Science and each year, a different aspect of water is addressed
