A delegation of parents’ committees from several schools in Jbeil and Keserwan visted AUT and met the deans, chairpersons, and the President of the university.
Mr. Maroun Abboud, chairperson of the Graphic Design Department, showed our guests the art works of the students. The delegation then visired the Water Resources lab, where they listened to an explanation by Dr. Anthony Ouba, coordinator of the program. There followed a presentation of the Nutrition and Dietetics program by Mrs. Jessica Maalouf, chairperson of the program. Dr. Walid Karam, chairperson of the Computer Science Department, introduced the three new concentrations of the Computer Science program: Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Cybersecurity.
The delegation also met the President, Mrs. Ghada Hinain, who spoke about current trends in higher education and the educational ideals that AUT has pursued since its foundation, namely active learning, of which AUT was the pioneer.
Dr. Pierre Al-Khoury, dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, and Mr. Marcel Hinain, Vice President for External Relations and Development, thanked our guests for their kind visit.
