The Lebanese Environment Forum organized a presentation on the marine protection area network that detailed the locations and the process followed in order to increase the number of protected areas along the Lebanese shore .
The presentation was hosted by AUT where VP Marcel Hinain has a welcome word detailing the interest and activities related to environmental matters that were undertaken by the University.
AUT Water Resources Science chair Dr Anthony Ouba gave details about the unique program offered by AUT and extended a hand to the LEF to collaborate on environmental actions.
LEF president Malek Ghandour outlined the several axes of action while Rebecca Baissari provided details on the marine protected areas management and development.
The conference ended with a signature of an MOU between AUT and LEF.
A cocktail reception was later offered by AUT.
