18 students enrolled at AUT in the hospitality management major left for Istanbul for three days accompanied by faculty members Nizam Barakat and Nabih Srour.
The students will be hosted at Bilgi University for lectures on the geography of tourism in Turkey. In addition students will meet officials from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to debate the tourism policy adopted by Turkey. Another meeting is scheduled with senior officials of the Hotel Association in Istanbul.
The visit also includes tours of important sites and students will submit a project that includes research on tourism in Turkey and a comparative study with the Lebanon tourism policy.
