In line with the mission of AUT to promote market ready graduates, the department of Graphic Design took several initiatives to introduce students to the market reality and practice.
One initiative was to spend a residency at Macam Museum from May 30 to. Over the course of three days, students simulated agency life, working in teams to develop full brand campaigns for humanitarian causes. Projects included logos, corporate identities, awareness posters, billboards, and digital content.
In another activity on Monday, June 17, 2025, students visited UNIPAK, a leading packaging company in Lebanon.
The visit gave students a closer look at how packaging is designed and produced in real life. They toured the factory, learned about the printing process, and saw how design is used in making boxes and labels.
A third activity was to draw the old Bynlos soul map with locations and names of shops participating in the Art Walk organized by Alice Edde to promote art in Byblos.
The learning that AUT students acquired through those activities adds to the strong theoretical foundation provided by GD faculty that created the reputation of excellence of the University.
