In a move that shows the importance of the links between industry and academe, Tannourine Water contributed the sum of six thousand US dollars for the improvement of AUT’s Water and Nutrition Lab.
Tannourine’s GM, Georges Makhoul addressed the audience during a short ceremony held at AUT- Issam Fares Auditorium- to reiterate his company’s stringent quality control standards and his support to students and the University. He encouraged the administration to keep up the efforts that AUT is displaying to serve the community through quality tests for food and water.
AUT VP Marcel Hinain in turn thanked Tannourine reminding the audience that the company had offered scholarship at the launch of the Water Resources Science major and has given multiple employment and internship opportunities to AUT students.
A visit to the labs followed led by Water Resources Science chair Dr. Anthony Ouba.
