A visit to Austrian ambassador Franziska Honsowitz Friessnegg on November 8, 2025 allowed VP Marcel Hinain to discuss means of collaboration on cultural matters.
Ambassador Friessnegg showed strong interest in taking activities to the area of Byblos through AUT and suggested several activities including a piano concert, a visit to AUT by young Austrian movie makers and promised to provide Hinain with university contacts in Austria to promote academic collaboration.
This visit was part of AUT External Relations efforts to foster cultural relations with foreign embassies and bring to the Byblos area a variety of cultural events in addition to those organized with local organizations and agencies
