The most
challenging time for any college student is
the freshman year. The hardest part in
students’ lives is adjusting to the academic
life while making friends. The Office of
Student Success focuses on the new students
their social, personal, academic adjustment
to college, while helping them make the
transitional experience from high school to
college memorable & fun instead of
difficult, stressful, and filled with
anxiety.
Problems may
arise in a number of different areas and it
is important that these problems be handled
in a direct and friendly manner. Students
come to the office with concerns ranging
from a need for academic services to family
financial problems, from course load
difficulties to faculty testing issues, and
many times just to have someone listen. With
an open door policy, students can feel free
to get in touch on a personal basis; we are
available to help all students whatever
their inquiry or problem, we can assist,
guide, advice, or steer most students to the
right person or place on campus to achieve
resolution to a problem
