MP Dr Atef Majdalani at AUT: A Lebanese FDA is Badly Needed A central government laboratory with high technical capabilities is a pre-requisite to the establishment of an agency to control the quality of food and medicines along the FDA model said Member of Parliament and head of the health, labor and social affairs commission Dr Atef Majdalani. The Future Movement MP who visited AUT on January 28 to speak on health issues announced he would propose a text of law for the creation of a local FDA in the days to come. Majdalani answered questions by students and AUT staff on legislation in progress related to health and on water and food quality control and other issues students wanted to know about.
