Position Announcement for Civil Engineer A recommended profile for a full-time supervisor of construction works when AUT plan to re-embark on the resumption of construction works at the Halat-Byblos Campus: The Position - B.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering (to be submitted) - minimum 5 years experience in the field either in consulting or contracting; preferably 10 years experience owing to the large size of the project, the intricacies in the links between the old and the new, and the various interlinked phases of the works - able to demonstrate knowledge of IT (Word, Excel) as on-going reports may be required - experience in quantity surveys and controls - experience in similar types of projects, and especially in the management of projects - a sound and reliable character, and a pleasant demeanor - personal references from at least two previous employers, and the possibility to refer to them - willing to commit for at least 3 years; preferably 5 years (as the person selected may be retained beyond the completion of the construction period) - work days: Monday thru' Saturday (7am - 5pm); some Sundays if necessary should sensitive works be programmed by the General Contractor - excellent knowledge of English & Arabic; French a plus.
