Cybercrime, Facts and Penalties: A Presentation at AUT by the Internal Security Forces

An audience of over 100 students gathered at the Issam Fares Auditorium at AUT to listen to Lieutenant Elie Dagher of the Cybercrime Bureau speak about the various crimes committed online and via smartphones and about useful prevention.

Dagher gave details about cases he investigated that were causes for suicide, divorce and murder.
Dagher said the Cybercrime Bureau receives an average 25 daily complaints of various kinds stating marked increase from year to year in reported cybercrimes.
The presentation was followed by a Q and A session with students from both Halat and Ras Masqa campuses.
